At St Nicholas, we are very lucky to offer a range of clubs and activities that give children opportunities to try something new, develop their interests and enjoy experiences beyond the classroom.

Our extra-curricular clubs are led by members of our school team who generously give their time, as well as specialist coaches who bring additional skills and expertise into school. The clubs available change throughout the year, with a new offer usually available each half term.

At the beginning of each half term, families will receive information about the clubs available and how children can request a place. Our clubs are very popular, and while places may be limited, our aim is to ensure that every child who would like to take part has the opportunity to access a club during the year.

Alongside our extra-curricular offer, children may also be invited to take part in additional learning and booster sessions after school. We also support sacramental preparation on behalf of the Parish of Blessed Edmund Sykes.

All after-school clubs will finish at 4.30pm, and you can pick up your child from the school playground.

There are limited spaces available for each club. Names will be picked at random and you will receive a text to confirm if your child has a space.

Late Collection from After-School Clubs

As a reminder, our late collection procedure for school clubs is as follows:

• First late collection: You will receive a reminder that children must be collected promptly at the advertised club finishing time.
• Second late collection: Your child will be placed into The Hive After School Club and you will be charged for the session.
• Third late collection: Unfortunately, your child will lose their place at the after-school club for the remainder of the club period.

We appreciate that unexpected circumstances can sometimes arise; however, staff running clubs have commitments after the club finishes, so it is important that children are collected on time.

Please also remember that the school car park is for staff only and should not be used when dropping off or collecting children from clubs.
