I am prepared to offer your child a place at St.Nicholas Primary School, subject to approval by the Governors. Acceptance of this place brings certain responsibilities to you, and your child. We are committed to the ideals of a Catholic education and he/she will be expected to participate fully in the spiritual life of the school. Your example is vital, particularly with regard to hearing Mass and reception of the Sacraments.

Without this example from you, your child will be confused by the conflicting standards between your home and our school. If you are not prepared to support us, you would be well advised to consider placing your child in a non-Catholic school, thus enabling us to accommodate pupils who are in sympathy with the aims of a Catholic school. If you do accept the place offered, we shall presume your complete support in your child's education. Your co-operation will also be essential in matters such as attendance, the wearing of school uniform, support of the school's code of discipline, and homework. Equally, your presence at parents' consultation evenings is essential if your child's education is to prosper.
